Hello Lovelies,
As I sat down to write this note to you a fun story came to mind.
Uncharacteristically, a dear six year old friend of ours didn’t have much to say about his first day of first grade. By all indications nothing very impressive happened that day. But later that evening, with the solemn astonishment of someone who had just discovered confidential, earth-shattering information, he asked his parents, “Hey, guys…. Do you know about SPACE?…” Ahhhh, the innocent magic of a first astronomy lesson!
Looking at the night sky always captivates and mystifies me. To grok the immensity of our universe, or even more boggling, the multiverse, is impossible.
Lately I’ve had quite a few stargazing nights. And quite a few afternoons under the canopy of tropical trees. I’ve had some luscious experiences that make me want to whisper seductively into your ears, “Hey beloved…Do you know about SPACE?…” And I’m not just talking about that starry space. I’m talking about the space between the words on this page. The space between my fingers as I type. The space between the inhale and exhale of a breath.
As I’ve been playing with “noticing space” I’ve been having rich experiences and inspiring insights. Below is a guideline for the practice I’ve been exploring. Try this for yourself. I’d be curious to hear how space has it’s way with you.
With spacious love,
Sharon |
