Ponderings, Poems & Practices
for Living Your Brilliance!
Hello Beloveds,
The place where you right now
God circled on a map for you
Wherever your eyes and arms
and heart can move
Against the earth and the sky,
the beloved has bowed there-
The beloved has bowed there knowing
You were coming…
When I was first slammed by an achey-coughy virus last week, I was hard on myself; my resistance flared up big time. I was not happy.
Then that quote by Hafiz came to me.
It reminds me to let myself curl up and slowly soften into this discomfort. I scan my body and notice where I’m still holding on. Just the noticing brings an unclenching.
I am not happy about how I’m feeling. I cough. I clench. I come back and curl up with Hafiz and I start again.
The place where I am right now
God circled on a map for me
Wherever my eyes and arms
and heart can move
Against the earth and the sky,
the beloved has bowed there-
The beloved has bowed there knowing
I was coming…
From this circled place,
I’m going back to bed.
